Can I use this soap on my face?
Yes! This moisturizing soap is great for all skin tyoes and is made to use on sensitive skin such as on the face
I have heard soaps are drying and I have experienced this in the past. I find it hard to believe soap can be moisturizing. Do your soaps really moisturize?
Yes! We hear you! We have also used soaps that dry the skin. We have learned that large scale soap makers remove the most valuable part of the soap, glycerin. Glycerin is a by-product of the soap making process and it moisturizes. Glycerin is a valuable ingredient in the cosmetic industry so it is removed and sold for additional profit.
We leave the glycerin in and we use goat milk instead of water which also gives moisturizing properties to the soap.
Can I use this on my babies skin?
Yes, you can use on a baby's skin AND be cautious of baby's eyes! This soap will sting if lather gets in the eyes.
How long does this soap last?
Handmade goat milk soaps last a long time. They last indefinately when stored in a dry, cool location. The drier the soap is kept in between uses, the longer it lasts.
I have had handmade soaps that don't lather well. Does this soap create lather?
Yes! This soap does lather well. Lather can be created in the hands and we have found using a shower puff, sponge or washcloth creates even more lather.
I love scents and my partner does not. How much scent do your soaps have?
Our soaps are lightly scented. Most people have to bring the soap to their nose to smell the scent. We believe soap scents are a personal experience. The smell of these scented soaps in the shower or bath are lovely and enjoyable for the one using the soap.
Perfumes, essential oil diffusers, candles and other scent options are a better way to share a fragrance with others.
Why don't you use coconut oil?
Coconut oil does make a great soap with lots of lather. Coconut oil can also be very drying to the skin. We also want to use oils from Ontario and Canada as much as possible.
What do you mean about Health Canada and a scented product being fregrance free?
By law in Canada, a product can be called "Fragrance Free" as long as it does not contain more than 3% fragrance by weight.
